Ring

last week at my weigh in I had only lost 1 lb 4 oz. this was a bit sad, however it is a loss, and this is heading in the right direction. and their were two days when I was to the end of my calories but decided that I didn't care, I was going to eat this anyway, so it was kind of understandable.

this morning as I was getting ready for church my wedding ring slipped off my finger. ( it landed on my made bed so I found it easily).

this must mean that I am losing weight anyway, and more than I thought.

Its starting to show

We are beginning to make several life changes at our house. 1) we are taking the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University class. but todays blog is about our second change. Thomas and I have started using xocai chocolate. it is more commonly called "the healthy chocolate" it is especially formulated to be healthy and has lots of added vitamins and minerals and proteins. not only is xocai good for helping you to lose weight, it is good for allergies and asthma.

Thomas is having two shakes a day, counting his calories and drinking lots of water.
I am having one shake a day, 3 pieces of chocolate, counting my calories and drinking lots of water. Next monday I want to start working out. One goal that I want to set is to see how long it takes me to walk to lions park up one set of stairs and down the other, and then work to shorten this time.

When I weighed in last week I was at 232 lbs. this week I am at 225.6 lbs.

Thomas last week was at 400.8 lbs and 391.2 lbs.

I am very proud of him, and us for our progress so far.

P.S. in the mornings when I work I start with a shake, then drink a bottle of water on the way to work. In the past I have not been good about taking a break every 2 hours like we are supposed to, however, after drinking a shake, then a bottle of water, I have found I NEED to take a break, visit the little girls room then drink another bottle of water so I can repeat the process at my lunch where I usually drink one to two bottles of water. thus making a second break a necessity as well.

P.P.S. I know that simply counting calories and drinking water will help with weight loss, however adding the chocolate makes sure that my body still gets what it needs.

5K

I completed a 5k today. I only ran a bit of the last 2 laps, when I was trying to catch up to Thomas. I am not sure of my exact time as I finished but instead of turning left to cross the finish line I turned right to complete the circle again and find tom. my time when I crossed with Thomas was 59:13. the 5k was 12 laps around the UVU courtyard.

We went.
We started.
We finished.
We conquered.
We will do it again.

I weighed myself today, I weigh 232.0. It is odd to me that this is so close to my weight last year when I started this blog.

ending weight

the contest is over. My final weight 230.2 lbs.

I am a bit disappointed that this is all I have lost. However, I have not tried very hard. I am looking forward to graduating and hoping that after that I will have more time to work out. we have a gym membership, that I have only used once. maybe then it will be easier.

I am still looking for a job for after graduation. I am very much enjoying my internship, and hoping that they will offer me a regular job. but then I will only be working. not school, work, internship.

not quite

this week I weighed in at 227.2. thats the smallest gain I have had. Hopefully next week it will be a loss. I am finding that at this point I am trying to work on portions and when I think I am hungry I have a big glass of water. I have not been going to work out as I am struggling in a couple of my classes. So during what was my work out time, I am trying to focus on accounting.

I filled out my 'request to graduate' this week and it was a very exciting thing to realize I am this close to graduating.

ups and downs

so last week was the true beginning of my internship I feel like I have no time for me. (It is 11:30 p.m. as I write this) when I weighed in I was up again to 228.7. kinda disappointing. but then I have not made the time for working out for a while. ( I don't even remember when I last did (maybe saturday Feb. 13). HMMMM).

this week I kept my weight in mind - all right the verry verry verry back of my mind as I went through my days. and chose not to treat. chose cheese sticks and water as snacks and wonder of wonder I weighed in at 227.0. I think I have been here before, but not below it. maybe next week.
